Privacy Policy — Voucher Kini

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Voucher Kini ("Voucher Kini," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website https://voucherkini.com/ (the "Site") and related services (together, the "Services"), through which we offer deals, discount vouchers, and coupons from merchants and service providers in Bangladesh.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors, registered users, and voucher purchasers ("you," "user") of the Services. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

Voucher Kini currently operates only within Bangladesh. This Policy is written with that market in mind and is intended to be consistent with applicable Bangladeshi law, including the Information and Communication Technology Act 2006, the Digital Commerce Operation Guideline 2021, Bangladesh Bank's payment-related regulations, and the Cyber Security Act 2023, as they apply to online commerce. Because data protection law in Bangladesh is still developing (including a forthcoming general data protection law), we will update this Policy as our obligations evolve.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you give us directly

  • Account details: name, email address, mobile number, password, gender, and date of birth (where requested).

  • Delivery/contact details: address, area/city, and alternate phone numbers, for vouchers that involve physical delivery or redemption at a location.

  • Payment-related information: when you buy a voucher, payments are processed through licensed third-party payment gateways and mobile financial services (for example bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or card-processing partners). Voucher Kini does not store your full card number, PIN, or mobile-banking password — these are handled directly by the payment provider under its own security controls and privacy terms.

  • Communications: messages you send to our customer support, reviews, ratings, and feedback you post about a deal or merchant.

  • Any information you submit if you register as a merchant/business partner (business name, trade license or TIN details, bank or MFS account for settlement, contact person details).

b) Information collected automatically

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps.

  • Location data: approximate location derived from your IP address or, if you allow it, more precise device location, used to show deals available near you.

  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5 below.

c) Information from other sources

  • If you sign up or log in using a third-party account (for example Google or Facebook login), we receive basic profile information from that provider as permitted by your settings with them.

  • Information from our merchant partners about voucher redemption (for example, that a voucher code was used, when, and at which outlet), so we can manage inventory and prevent fraud.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • create and manage your account, and process and fulfil voucher purchases;

  • communicate with you about orders, vouchers, redemption instructions, and customer support requests;

  • send you deal alerts, newsletters, and promotional offers (you can opt out at any time — see Section 7);

  • personalize the deals and content shown to you based on your location and browsing/purchase history;

  • operate, maintain, and improve the Site, including troubleshooting and analytics;

  • detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service;

  • comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, and enforce our legal rights; and

  • share limited, necessary information with merchants so they can honor and redeem the vouchers you purchase.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Merchants/deal partners: information reasonably needed to fulfil a voucher (such as your name, voucher/order code, and contact number) is shared with the specific merchant whose deal you purchased, solely so they can honor the redemption.

  • Payment and financial service providers: to process payments and refunds (for example, payment gateways and mobile financial service operators).

  • Service providers: vendors who help us run the Site, such as hosting providers, SMS/email delivery services, analytics providers, and customer-support tools, under confidentiality and data-processing terms.

  • Legal and safety reasons: where required by Bangladeshi law, court order, or a valid request from a government or law-enforcement authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Voucher Kini, our users, or the public.

  • Business transfers: if Voucher Kini is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy (or a policy at least as protective).

  • With your consent: for any other purpose we disclose to you at the time of collection, or with your explicit permission.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous, unless retention is required by law.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and show you more relevant deals and ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them; disabling cookies may affect some features of the Site (for example, staying logged in or seeing localized deals).

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • Marketing communications: you can opt out of promotional emails and SMS at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, by adjusting your account notification settings, or by contacting us (Section 10). You may still receive transactional messages related to your orders.

  • Access and correction: you can review and update most of your account information by logging into your account, or by contacting us.

  • Deletion: you may request that we delete your account and associated personal data, subject to our need to retain certain information for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

  • Withdrawing consent: where we rely on your consent (for example, for marketing or optional location access), you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these choices, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to merchant websites, social media pages, or other third-party sites. This Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately, as we are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Contact Us

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us at:

Voucher Kini Email: privacy@voucherkini.com Website: https://voucherkini.com/

(Please replace the placeholder email above with your actual support/privacy contact address before publishing.)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements, especially as Bangladesh's data protection framework develops. We will post the updated Policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and where changes are significant, we will provide more prominent notice (for example, via email or a Site banner).

This Privacy Policy is a general template inspired by industry practice (including Groupon's approach) and adapted for a Bangladesh-based voucher marketplace. It is provided for informational purposes and is not legal advice. Because Bangladesh's data protection and e-commerce regulations are evolving, we recommend having this Policy reviewed by a Bangladeshi lawyer before publishing, and updating the placeholder contact email, company/entity name, and any payment-provider names to match your actual business setup.
